Abstracts:

In the exposition space of Polytechnic museum, dedicated to the history of computational technology development, modern computer is used as follows:
1. for the restoration separate exhibits by creating the demonstration complexes on their basis;
2. for the more complete expansion of the history of separate directions computer technology and the demonstration of absentees in the exposure of material, documentary and graphic sources;
3. for conservation of audio and video information on several carriers: audio, video cassettes, laser disks and hard disk;
4. for the demonstration of the computer technology possibilities.
Unfortunately, to restore the first electronic digital machines for the demonstration of their work is practically impossible. However, with the aid of contemporary computers it is possible to show the functioning of the separate devices. One of such demonstration complexes was created on the base of plotter “US-7051M” and the personal computer, which works in the medium DOS.
Also in the exposition the dynamic stand of logic elements “Logical functions on the semiconductors” works under control of the personal computer. Executed at the factory of museum in 1960 years, it was no longer subject to restoration.
In this time the work is executed on the creation of similar complexes for the demonstration of functioning of the tape perforator and the photoelectric input unit from the punched tape “FS 1501”.
Thus, the first direction of the use of modern computers makes it possible to increase the number of acting exhibits in the exposure.
Too now it is possible to demonstrate with PC the following slide-shows, created by the author of report with the aid of the program Power Point:
· “Charles Babbage and his Computers”;
· “Ada Lovelace - the First Programmer in the World”;
· “Search of Versions in the Composition of Fairy Tales”;
Also with the aid of the modern multimedia computer it is possible to hear out the computer music: from the first solo-voice melodies “Uralskie napevy” of R.Kh.Zaripov, the polyphonic compositions of A.M.Stepanov (executed on the first computing machines in the 1960 years of XX century), which were rewritten from the old tape recording tapes and enumerated, before the modern plays, written for the computer and the usual musical tools, for example “Dialog of computer and violoncello”.
In last year we began to conduct work according to digitization of video films from the scientifically-auxiliary fund for our group. The 5 films are already enumerated.
Such usage of modern multimedia computer makes it possible substantially to supplement and to expand the circle of the themes, connected with the history of computer technology.
