Kiev Pechersk National historical & cultural reserve, being one of the most major museums reserves of Ukraine occupies an outstanding place in the Ukrainian culture.

In June, 2001 the employees of a department of computer science represented CD-ROM the disk interactive hisorical & cultural tour "Treasures of Kiev-Pechersk Lavra". The event was dedicated to such unniversaries of 2001: 950th unniversary of the Lavra and the 75th unniversary of Kiev-Pechersk reserve.

This disk was created by the experts of a department of computer science with engaging of the scientists of the preserve.

The disk "Treasures of Kiev-Pechersk Lavra" is, probably, one of the first electronic issuing in domestic museum practice. Association of such different computer tools, as the database on architectural monuments of Kiev-Pechersk reserv & Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, gallery of high-quality pictures and art case histories, information texts, video, interactive map, the dictionary, songs of Lyiv Jheological schools chous has permitted to make it useful manual for schoolchildren and teachers, irreplaceable for the tourists on the one hand and very interesting for wide masses of the users on the other hand.
