Abstracts:

The outstanding Russian artist Pyotr Petrovichev (1874-1947) was born in Rostov region, pictures created here make a significant part of his heritage. The Rostov museum started collecting and researching Petrovichev's works 80 years ago. The result of this work was described in the paper "Petrovichev Web-page as a way of study and popularization of the artist's creativity" at the conference EVA2000 Moscow. At the end of 2000 The Ministry of Culture RF bought two Petrovichev's pictures for our museum: "Tea Drinking in a Village" (1898) and "March. The spring road" (1903), now they are exhibited in the Petrovichev's hall. This is the appreciation of the Rostov museum activity.

The researches of the artist's creativity, the experience of other museums, theoretical articles and papers at conferences EVA 2000, ADIT 2001, Museum magazine (204, 205), The museum of future: information managment (М., 2001) were resulted in Web-page changes.

The Pyotr Petrovichev's Web-page includes additional information (new pictures and documents); new part of the Web-page "Bibliography" (the publications devoted to Petrovichev creativity). The creation of full Petrovichev catalog has begun. Some museums will place Petrovichev's works on the Rostov museum site (www.rostov.yar.ru).

Thus, new materials, new project in the sphere of museum information, the development of technological base permitting to begin the next stage of the work - creation of Petrovichev Virtual museum.

Graduated the faculty of Theory and history of art of Leningrad institute of painting, sculpture and architecture after I. E. Repin. Researcher of the Picture gallery of the State museum-preserve "Rostov Kremlin" since 1998.
The State museum-reserve "Rostov Kremlin" was organised in 1883, originally as the Rostov Museum of Church Antiquities. The Rostov Museum has a lot of fine items of icon-paintings, carved wooden sculpture, famous painted enamels, known as finift. The museum also has a fair collection of paintings by well-known Russian artists from various periods. Rostov museum is especially valuable cultural heritage institution of the peoples of Russian Federation.
