Abstracts:

The paper reviews the work of the Russian State Art library with video recording collection. The system of reference tools in the form of traditional card catalogues and electronic database has been analysed. The illustrations in the paper demonstrate the feeling of fields for bibliographical record on video materials (a standard set of operations) and searching on users' request. Borland Database Engine library is used as the software interface of data access. The result of a request can also be output in the form of reports with different sorting (examples cited) both by means of Quick Report and by compiling the Word-document.
